Charging the
vanadium-lithium
battery in the VCR
Your VCR is supplied with a vanadium-lithium
battery installed so as to retain the menu settings,
regardless of the setting of the POWER switch.
The vanadium-lithium battery is always charged
as long as you are using the VCR. The battery,
however, will get discharged gradually if you do
not use the VCR. It will be completely
discharged in about 1 year if you do not use the
VCR at all. Even if the vanadium-lithium battery
is not charged, it will not affect the VCR
operation. To retain the menu settings, charge
the battery if the battery is discharged. The
following are charging methods:
•Connect the VCR to a wall outlet using the
supplied AC adaptor/charger, and leave the
VCR with the POWER switch turned off for
more than 24 hours.
•Install the fully charged battery pack on the
VCR, and leave the VCR with the POWER
switch turned off for more than 24 hours.

Votre magnétoscope est fourni avec une pile au
vanadium-lithium installée qui assure la
sauvegarde des réglages de menu, quel que soit
le réglage du commutateur POWER. La pile au
vanadium-lithium est chargée en permanence
tant que vous utilisez le magnétoscope. Elle se
décharge cependant de manière progressive si
vous n’utilisez pas le magnétoscope. Elle sera
complètement déchargée après environ 1 an de
non-utilisation totale du magnétoscope. Même si
elle n’est pas chargée, la pile au vanadium-
lithium n’affecte pas le fonctionnement du
magnétoscope. Pour sauvegarder les réglages de
menu, chargez la pile si elle est déchargée. Voici
les méthodes de charge à votre disposition :
•Raccordez le magnétoscope à une prise murale
au moyen de l’adaptateur/chargeur CA fourni
et laissez le magnétoscope avec le commutateur
POWER en position d’arrêt pendant au moins
24 heures.
•Installez la batterie complètement chargée sur
le magnétoscope et laissez-le avec commutateur
POWER en position d’arrêt pendant au moins
24 heures.
